About Me
I am a US/UK citizen of third culture currently residing in Bucharest, Romania. As a cultural journalist, copywriter, event organizer, and web manager, my work has been featured in international media. I focus particularly on documentary film, music documentary, electronic music, hip-hop, and politics.
I hold a BA in Communication Sciences from the University of Connecticut, an MA in Media Studies from The New School for Public Engagement, and a Research MA in Media Studies from the University of Amsterdam.
I have lived in various cities around the world, including Mumbai, Tokyo, New York City, Connecticut, Seattle, Amsterdam, and Bucharest. In New York, I co-founded and served as senior editor for the independent film platform IndieWood/Hollywoodn't. After moving to Europe in 2014, I became Editor-in-Chief of the Deep House Amsterdam community of platforms. Since 2018, I have been the Industry Editor and Communications Manager for the premier European documentary magazine Modern Times Review. Currently, I am also the content lead for Bucharest's Black Rhino Radio and Control Club.
In addition, I am the fanzine curator and web manager for the Amsterdam-based music documentary festival, IN-EDIT NL. My writing on music, film, and politics can also be found in Crack Magazine, Magnetic Magazine, The Wire, Films in Frame, Institute of Documentary Film, FRISKY News, Taiwan Beats, and more.
